Hi Andy,
My dad, Ron Dahlquist, built the Aurora for Father Juliano back in the 50s, he still talks about it from time to time, you might enjoy a chat. Dad is in No Branford CT, USA, phone is ***********.....great to see the car revived, I remember him taking me to see it when I was a child in the early 70s.
thank you
Eric

Greetings Mr. Saunders,
I remember seeing your work in Street Machine when I was younger and have always been thoroughly impressed by your creations. It's been fantastic viewing your website (and also slightly nostalgic). I offer you my kindest regards, and wish you the best of luck for the future.

Hi Andy,
I was talking to a colleague at work about your creations, and thought i'd look you up on the web which led me to your website.
I have been a petrolhead as long as I can remember, and have circa 1,500 car mags up in the attic, including many Street Machines/Fast Cars, etc. which have featured your works over the years.
You have brought hours of fun for this teenager looking over your cars and
imagining driving them one day.
Keep up the good work!

Cheers,
Steven

We have a website selling vintage clothing and homeware called www.jailhousefrock.co.uk based in the North East and we wondered if you would like to exchange links with us? We're pretty sure that our customers would be like minded folk too.

Fantastic work. I found your site (discovered your work) via an autotrader article. In particular a reference to a customised Allegro. I had 3 when I was younger and have a lot of affection for them (however flawed they might be). It's great to so what you did with yours as it reminds me of the day dreams I had about modding mine when I was a teen ...the 3 I had were all estates which my friends refered to as hearses. Love the mini's as well .. I've still got a clubman in the garage and I think I might be getting the angle grinder out this weekend. :-) ... keep up the fantastic work. Mark

I first saw the Aurora in an old edition of Mechanix Illustrated and was really excited when I read it had survived and that you had brought it to the UK. You have carried out a wonderful resto job on it and it looks fabulous, albeit in its own unique way.
I keep coming back to see if there are any new pics of the Cord's progress as what you have done so far to it looks stunning.
Best wishes

Hello:

I saw the name of your website on the bonnet of 'Flatout', which does not seem to be on the site yet. What a crazy car! I saw the pictures on www.supercars.net, a great, continuously updated site for all cars, not just of the exotic variety. I also remember an article on the Aurora done in an American magazine. It's as ugly now as it was then, but I appreciate its forward thinking for the time, and I'm glad it was brought back to life. Thank you.

The Aurora is special to me because my uncle was Alford Juliano.Alford Juliano and my father Anthony Liuzzi had the same mother. I always heard about the car growing up but did not see it until about 2 months ago. I was shocked when I found it online. I live in Alabama now but when I was little Uncle Al would come to our house in Cherry Hill. Its great that you restored this car as it brings back memories of my uncle.
Thank You

Hi Andy,
Watched the build at Beulieu on Saturday so brought the family back on Sunday to see it completed (another £28!!)but was it worth it. My 10 year old who was showing no interest at all made us stay until the very end to see the car finished and outside. I thought my NSX was low but....
Great entertainment I would love to do what you do but I will stick with restoring bikes as the wife would see me even less. Keep up the good work you made for a very enjoyable weekend for us all and I will wear the teeshirt with pride probably won't look as cool as the dog though.

Is there a chance that you'll be taking any moulds from your car that you'd then sell (or even sell that car)?

Nice work Andy,

Comments: Good evening, I just read the article about your Stratos Zero project in Classic Cars. I am very impressed, especially as the car seems to be road legal. Very nice! I took the opportunity to look at your homepage and was surprised that over the years I have seen quite a few of these cars before in several magazines. I did not know that all were build on your initiative. I recognized that most of the cars were sold at a later stage. I am very much into 70's cars.
Therefore my question:
1.  I am from time to time in England and I would love to see the car in reality. Will there be the chance to arrange it?
2.  I guess you will keep the car for some years. However, if you ever want to sell, I am SERIOUSLY interested to buy.
3.  Will you get a negative mold of the body to be able to replicate the car again?

I would be happy to hear from you.
Thank you very much. Kind regards,   Werner Andreas Herker

Hi,

Ol' Skool rodz have invited me to write an article on how similar 1930's-60's kustom and hot rod culture is/was to punk and would like to interview you about it. I was inspired by the editorial in the latest Custom car on how Grant Wilson likened it to hip hop. Even if it's just a quote, I'll be delighted.

Contact me if you're interested.

Yours faithfully,

Hi Andy

Found your site because I remembered the minis you used to create and my little girl is well into minis at the moment.

Great to see you are still creating the most fabulous cars.  You once did some mundane work on my old Morris Minor while I was married to an old college friend of your sister's.  Used to see you around loads in Bournemouth especially with the boat driving up round Westbourne.

Probably don't remember me but you left a lasting impression on my life - great memories of Bournemouth!

Andy my friend you have done some very cool stuff. My name is Rob Muirhead. I'm in Canada. I am huge fan of full custom show cars from builders like Barris,Casper,Roth and Starbird to name a few. I have owned the book The World's Strangest Automobiles for years but never really clued into the fact that you built like half the cars in the book. Nobody here knows who you are, unfortunately British shows cars are not known in north america really. I do remember and article in Hot Rod about the X-2000. I think it amazing that you restored the Aurora. Along with custom cars I also very interested in odd ball car makers like the Davis,Del-Mar,Gregory,Gaylord and Mohs to name a few. I have a book that pictured the Aurora and actually did a search for more pics of it about 1 month ago but never got this site. Ahh well very happy to have found your site.
Well thank you for building some of the koolest stuff and keep up the good work.

Rob

Great site!  I've been monitoring the site for awhile to see your progress on various projects.  I think I emailed you pre-website regarding Cord restoration tips and I received a reply from your assistant(?). I'm quite interested in the Tetanus project (I have a 36 cord with a 48 Ford flathead and 39 lasalle tranny).  It looks like you are making a coupe - kool!  I look forward to an update.

PS you should auction off (if not done already) any original Cord parts you won't use so that other Cord owners can keep these cars on the road :)

I am very pleased to see such beautiful creations which are a way to express yourself. I dont have such talents to express myself but still have a lot of ideas in my mind!

One of your creations that I really like and makes me smile are your shortened two mini minors! I really want to make one and talked to my panel beater about it but still need some advice. I taught that I should lower the roof by 2 inches because it seems a bit funny when shortened with the standard roof height. Is it difficult to alter the doors from the back
making that semi-circle alteration and make them lock?

Well it will be greatfull if you give me a bit of advice and still keep it up with your creations especially Mentally Insane was real great challenge!

I'm only 15 but I've already got a project planned (when i can afford it), it's called the 'Silver Machine' (after the song by Hawkwind), an Austin A35 2-door saloon with gull-wing doors, lowered and maybe chopped as well (not sure if that'll work with the gull-wings) and it won't all be for show, I've got Buick V8s and Nitrous Oxide on my mind... (not forgetting of course the groovy metallic blue and silver paint job...) Thanks again for the wonderful masterpieces you've made and good luck with those still to come. Anthony

Comments: Andy, just wanted to tell you that you have inspired me to start body mods on my car. I've followed your work for years but it was the "in-progress" pics of the Bentley front end that made me think that I could have a go. I'm currently remodelling a Lada for practice, then on to bigger and better things! Thanks mate for setting an example. John.
